As you approach your vehicle, just grab the door handle and it will open and arm itself automatically. When you leave your vehicle you can lock it by pressing the door handle or pressing the key fob.

Additionally, you can use the Powered Gesture trunk lid feature of your Jaguar XE. Jaguar offers keys-free entry in a lot of its models, which means you don't have to fiddle with your keys before you head out for your Irvine commute. The XE makes use of proximity sensors to detect the key fob you have when you approach the car, and it will then automatically unlock and disable your security once you pull the door handle. This feature is especially useful for drivers who lose their keys on the road or are forced to juggle bags with keys, keys and kids before taking a drive to work.

You can also lock your Jaguar using its touch screen. Simply click the lock icon to secure your vehicle and activate its alarm or press it two times to "double-lock" your vehicle. InControl Remote's Guardian Mode can be used to further increase the security of your Jaguar.  The Keylab  will notify your smartphone when it detects unusual movements of your vehicle. If the vehicle has been tampered with the alert will be sent to your mobile phone so that you can inform police immediately. This feature can help protect your Jaguar against theft and is offered on the majority of E-PACE I-PACE and F-PACE models.
